King Charles, the first British monarch, visited Auschwitz

On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, King Charles, the first British monarch, visited Auschwitz. It was a moving moment to see the King take his stand against antisemitism.

In 1943, the King’s grandmother, Princess Alice of Greece, on his father’s side, saved a Jewish family by hiding them in her home. She bravely faced Gestapo officers who attempted to interview her and used her deafness to her advantage and the advantage of the Cohen family, whom she saved by pretending not to understand their questions.

Recently, at another event, he noted, “As the number of Holocaust survivors regrettably diminishes with the passage of time, the responsibility of remembrance rests on our shoulders”. He also said, “The act of remembering the evils of the past remains a vital task, and in so doing, we inform our present and shape our future.”

Please join us as we pray for the salvation of the Jewish people and actively seek to reach them with the Good News of Jesus, their Saviour.
